Plastic Surgery, Celebrities, and Rumors. It all sounds like the stuff of tabloids, late-night rumor shows, and magazine gossip. This sort of thing may be your cup of tea, or it may not be at all. Nonetheless, learning about what celebrities have to say about their personal beautification journeys can be valuable for anyone who wants to learn more about these procedures, the results, and how it’s affected the fame of the popular.
Some celebrities adore their beautification work and others do not. Some talk openly about their procedures while others stay silent. Either way, these are all very-real people with very-real lives, and it’s pretty great that we can look to the spotlight for further insight on subjects like beautification and surgeries, whether it be good or bad.
Read Below to see what these celebrities have to say about their procedures!
Jane Fonda, actress and political activist

In the HBO series, “Jane Fonda in 5 Acts,” Jane says, “I’m glad I look good for my age, but I’ve had plastic surgery. I got tired of looking tired when I wasn’t.” Fonda got work done on her eyes and jawline. While she’s happy with the results, she admits she feels guilty about wanting to pursue plastic surgery.
She goes on: “On one level, I hate the fact that I’ve had the need to alter myself physically to feel that I’m OK. I wish I wasn’t like that. I love older faces. I love lived-in faces. I loved Vanessa Redgrave’s face. I wish I was braver. But I am what I am.”
Anna Faris, actress

Anna Faris is very open about her plastic surgery. She says while she never initially expected herself to be a plastic surgery candidate, once she took the plunge she said it turned out “f–ing awesome!”
In an interview with Women’s Health, she said, “I always thought plastic surgery was caving in to ‘the man” you know? But it came down to a really simple thing: I wanted to fill out a bikini.”
Tyra Banks, Actress

The outspoken Tyra Banks has, in true character, been very open about her surgeries. In an interview with PEOPLE she said, “I get really uncomfortable when women who are these natural beauties judge anybody who does anything to themselves.”
In her memoir Perfect is Boring she elaborated on her nose job, saying, “I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth.”
Kaley Cuoco, Actress

It was “the best thing I ever did!” Big Bang star Kaley Cuoco said about her surgeries. She openly talked to Women’s Health about her rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and neck fillers.
Cuoco added that beautification surgery should be pursued as a personal achievement for yourself, to help you feel great. “As much as you want to love your inner self, I’m sorry, you also want to look good.” She said. “I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing.”
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, reality TV star

There are three things Nicole likes to talk about: her children, Lorenzo and Giovanna; the joys of motherhood; and her breast lift. In her #MomsWithAttitudeVideo she said, “Being a mom, your boobs are destroyed after having kids, especially breastfeeding. I want to be hot for my husband, but I also want to feel great about myself, and it was an insecurity I had.” She feels incredible now, and fully encourages beautification for moms who want to feel more confident.
Iggy Azalea, rapper

Iggy has been very honest about her breast, nose, and other facial procedures, procedures, saying, “There was nothing wrong with me. I think it’s a personal choice and anybody, man or woman, they should be able to make an informed decision, and if you want to change something, then that’s up to you.” In fact, Iggy and her beautician share a good friendship, and she thanks him for helping her achieve her ideal body.
Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale had plastic surgery to help improve her breathing by correcting a deviated septum. While her surgery was solely for health reasons, she still told her fans, I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me.”
Lisa Kudrow, actress

Lisa Kudrow admits to not feeling very confident about hear appearance prior to her nose job. She writes, “I went from, in my mind, hideous to not hideous. I did it the summer before going to a new high school. So there were plenty of people who wouldn’t know how hideous I looked before.” While everyone is certain that Kudrow was nowhere near hideous in highschool, it’s great to hear that she’s confident in her nose even decades after.
Kourtney Kardashian, reality star

While this name on the list may be expected to most, Kourtney is still surprised that some people rumor about her breasts. “I have had breast implants, but it’s so funny cause it’s not a secret. I could care less. It’s so funny because the ‘before’ picture that {the tabloids} showed was after I had my boob job, so I’m like, they should have written ‘before Mason’ and ‘after Mason’. My boobs have tripled since breastfeeding.”
Kathy Griffin, comedian and political activist

Katy Griffin is very open about her beautification work. Even after a complicated (and potentially fatal) lipo accident, Griffin has still gone in for a nose job, hair straightening, teeth overhaul, brow lift, facial peels, liposuction on her waist, arms, and facial skin, and more. She says, “Matt [her husband] says I look good. I feel good!”
Denise Richards, actress

Richards decided to get breast work done at the age of 19, and she is very grateful for the procedure. She’s had a breast augmentation, breast implants, and a breast reduction. While she’s content with her breasts, she advises that any women – especially young adults – do an extensive amount of research before making such a big decision.
Courtney Love, actress and rocker

Love told Jimmy Kimmel that her main decision for beautification was to improve her confident and her career. “I was an actress in the 80s, but well, let’s be real. I had a really big nose. That schnoz was not taking me anywhere but radio.” She’s also gotten a few face lifts, and she has no regrets.
Pamela Anderson, actress

“Pepole always tell me, ‘Reinvent yourself, re-this, re-whatever.’ I haven’t reinvented myself. it’s an honest evolution. I’ve always been authentic. Except for my boobs.” Everyone knows Pamela Anderson, and she is the eye of many people’s eye due to her perfect figure. She had her first breast surgery in the 90s, then had them removed, then placed again in 2004 (but larger!). Pamela’s gorgeous body is often credited as starting the modern boob craze.
Heidi Montag, actress

Heidi Montag is very open about her many procedures, saying that she while she doesn’t regret her decisions, she doesn’t think it’s something that should be glorified. Being so famous, her insecurity grew as her fame grew,a and internet trolls were a big motivator to how she changed her appearance. She cautions anyone who is thinking about plastic surgery to be certain they’re doing it for themselves, not for anyone else, especially not to please an audience.
Sharon Osbourne, talk show and reality TV star

While she loves the results of her face lift, Osbourne has been genuinely honest about the downsides of beautification too. She told PEOPLE, “If anyone says their face-lift doesn’t hurt they’re lying. It was like I’d spent the night with an ax murderer. They take your ears off and put them back on.”
Jamie Lee Curtis, actress

While Curtis has undergone many beautification procedures, she is certain to tell other women that plastic surgery isn’t reversing the clock. She told More magazine, “I’ve done it all. I’ve had a little plastic surgery. I’ve had a little lipo. And you know what? None of it works. None of it.”
Courteney Cox, actress

Courntey Cox has had lots of plastic surgery, although has recently gotten all her fillers removed. “I would say it’s a common thing you go through as you age, especially in Hollywood,” she told People. “You have to accept getting older, and that’s something that I had a hard time doing. [I tried] to keep up with time in a way that was anything other than maintenance. I didn’t realise it until one day I kind of stepped back and went, ‘Oh sh–. I don’t look like myself.'”
Tara Reid, actress

Tara Reid admits that plastic surgery wasn’t for her, yet she went ahead with it anyways. She says that rash decision was “probably the stupidest thing I’ve ever done.” She writes she got lipo “because even though I was skinny, I wanted – I’m not going to lie – a six pack.” Unfortunately for Reid, her surgery did not go well and left her with rippled breasts, rippled stomach muscles, a hernia, and other complications. She pleads for women to seriously research and be wise about plastic surgery.
