Am I a Candidate for CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a breakthrough in the industry of non-invasive fat reduction. It is an amazing tool to remove small pockets of fat, that are resistant to diet and exercise.
Most people have that extra inch to pinch in a “trouble zone” that drives them so crazy we come up with funny terms to make them less irritating.
Banana Roll, Muffin Top, Chicken Nugget, Bat Wing, Weinus, Jelly Roll… I could go on. None of them are cute… and we want them GONE
Of course the first line of defense against fat is “a healthy diet and exercise”. Even people at their peak physical condition however, still suffer from trouble spots.

ToggleWhat IS This Jelly Belly?!
Not every belly is the same, and unfortunatley not all bellys are treatable with CoolSculpting. The reason is CoolSculpting works on the outer fatty layer, that extra “inch to pinch”. It is not effective on the fat that is deep within you.
The scientific words for this are visceral versus subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat surrounds your organs and lies under your abdominal wall. Subcutaneous fat is the outer layer that leads to small pockets of fat that bulges around our clothes.
When you exercise and increase cardiovascular exercises your body decreases the visceral fat. This type of fat can lead to heart disease, diabetes, and is more prominent in people who are “overweight”. So it is smart to maintain a healthy lifestyle to keep that visceral fat from developing.
Someone who is physically active and doenst have a lot of viceral fat can still suffer from pockets of subcutaneous fat that is more resistant to diet and exercise. This is where treatments like liposuction were popularized. Reducing that external layer of fat can really contour the body and create a silhouette that people are striving for.

Forever Young BBL
In a recent study a physician named Dr Bitter went extremely in depth into the skin evaluating what happens with repeated exposure to the BBL treatment. Over a 10 year study he found that with enough repeated exposure you can actually completely maintain collagen, elastin, and some of the other essential building blocks in your skin. He then coined the term “Forever Young BBL”. An amazing protocol that has been sweeping the nation.
When patients are only interested in evening out tone and pigment we recommend treatments annually, but to see a benefit in their general tissue health, we now recommend having Forever Young BBL four times a year, or quarterly. One of the best things about this treatment is there is NO DOWNTIME. With your first and sometimes second treatments some patients will have an increase in their pigment, almost like coffee grounds up on the surface of the skin. Patients can wear make up as soon as the next day, and once the initial pigmentation is improved with the first and sometimes second treatments, the subsequent treatments don’t even require make up.

For those wondering whether Forever Young BBL might be the best cosmetic solution for you, we invite you to simply come in for a complimentary consultation with Dr. Chang or one of the cosmetic laser and injection nurses to explore whether you would make a good candidate. FAQs About Forever Young BBL
A topical numbing agent can be applied if you wish, but the majority of patients do this treatment without numbing.
We absolutley recommend doing BBL in the summer, it is the repeated exposure to the light throughout the year that maintains elements like collagen and elastin. Depending on how much sun exposure you have we may not do a setting that changes pigmentation, but the exposure for collagen in still recommended.
For patients who are only concerned about evening out tone and pigmentation, an annual treatment is recommended. Patients treating for roseacea and other inflammatory issues may need treatments colser to 6 months. For the full benefit of Forever Young BBL we recommend treatments at least quarterly.
On average the treatments take about 20 minutes. If numbing is applied there is a 30 minute processing time beforehand.
Some first time patients may see a coffee ground look to their skin in the areas with hyperpigmentation, and sometimes the BBL will pull up under lying sundamage never seen before. Redness and inflammation are a little worse right after the treatment but makeup can be worn the very next day.
Currently, for a single session we charge $400. If you do the Forever Young BBL package it is priced buy 3 get the fourth free at $1200 for four sessions.
