Correction of Breast Asymmetry with Augmentation and Lift

Procedure Photos & Description

27-year-old female with natural breast asymmetry. She has never had children. Her requests included the desire to be more symmetric, an increase in size to a large D cup, and a breast lift. Her right breast was larger and more droopy than the left breast. This combination represents one of the most difficult cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries.

Even in cases where the breasts are more symmetric, breast lift surgery has up to a 20% revision rate. This case is quite the challenge. Correction of the deformity included placement of silicone breast implants on both sides. The left breast implant needed to be larger than the left. A 520 cc medium profile implant was placed. A smaller, 445cc medium profile silicone filled breast implant was placed in the left breast. A lollipop-style breast lift ( mastopexy ) was then performed on the right breast. The before and after images shows excellent symmetry after 3 months.

Additional Info

One Week After Surgery

  • The breasts remain swollen and asymmetric. The surgical tapes show where the surgical incisions are located. The right breast shows a lollipop-style breast lift. The left breast shows an breast augmentation inframammary crease incision.

1 Month After

  • Breast surgery for asymmetric breasts. The swelling is decreasing. The sizes remain asymmetric but getting closer. The incisions are pink and healing well. The droop of the breast on the right side looks significantly better than prior to surgery

3 months after

  • Breast surgery to correct asymmetry. The before and after image shows a dramatic improvement in symmetry including size, shape, and correction of breast droop.
