CoolSculpting® (CoolSculpting) is becoming a go-to procedure for people who want to take their body shape from good to perfect. That’s because it targets areas where exercise and dieting fail. CoolSculpting is an effective way to eliminate stubborn fat from targeted areas in a simple, effective office procedure.

Because it is a relatively new procedure, many people don’t know what it is, what it can do, and what actually happens. We have the answers for all those important questions.

Is CoolSculpting Safe?

FDA clinical trials have proven that CoolSculpting, a non-surgical procedure that does not require needles and is totally non-invasive, is safe. With little to no downtime, patients can get back to regular daily activities right away. Over 7.1 million CoolSculpting treatments globally prove this fat-reduction technology is a safe, effective way to successfully contour, shape and sculpt the body.

Is CoolSculpting Painful?

Most patients find CoolSculpting is neither painful or uncomfortable. Those who do experience temporary stinging, tingling, or cramping find that the discomfort is short-lived. Sensations may occur when the applicator is removed, and the 2-minute massage takes place. Or, once the treatment is completed and nerves reawaken from the freezing process. For those individuals, a non-narcotic medication may be prescribed by your doctor to minimize discomfort.

How Many Times Do I Have To Have CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting works every time you do a treatment. The final result depends on your body type, size, and which area(s) you are treating. Your doctor will work with you to determine if further treatments are needed to reach your desired goal. Changes appear in 1-3 months after treatment, with final results beginning to show up at 6 months.

Our before and after CoolSculpting photos will show you the results for many of our clients. We have plenty, so it’s easy to find other CoolSculpting successes of those who look similar to you so you can determine the steps for your desired goal!

How Long Does It Take?

CoolSculpting treatments differ in length, depending on the area being addressed. An inner thigh treatment can be done in as little as 35 minutes per leg. If you opt to treat multiple areas in a single session, expect to spend more time. Some providers have multiple CoolSculpting machines, allowing patients to treat more than one area simultaneously, reducing the amount of time spent in the office.

Does CoolSculpting Work On Fit People?

Many of our clients are fit and want CoolSculpting to polish their appearance. CoolSculpting sculpts, contours and reshapes stubborn areas and is perfect for spot reduction. Our practice offers a wide range of applicator sizes and allows us to address the areas that frustrate you, large or small, beautifully!

How Do I Know If It Is Right For Me?

CoolSculpting is the perfect non-invasive fat-reduction solution for those who are struggling with diet and exercise-resistant fat. If you are 5-25 pounds from a healthy weight and you are looking to sculpt, contour, reshape, resize, or debulk one or more areas of your body, CoolSculpting could be the perfect solution to finally achieve your best appearance!

Does CoolSculpting Work On Men And Women?

CoolSculpting is the perfect solution for men and women who are struggling with diet and exercise resistant fat. If you are 5-25 pounds from a healthy weight and you are looking to sculpt, contour, reshape, resize, or debulk one or more areas of your body.

Will CoolSculpting Help Me Lose Weight?

CoolSculpting achieves undeniable results but it is not a weight loss procedure. Fat cells certainly take up a lot of space and have a lot of volume, but they don’t weigh very much. The opposite is true of muscle. CoolSculpting can sculpt, contour, reshape, resize, and debulk parts of your body that aren’t changing by diet and exercise alone. CoolSculpting is FDA-cleared to treat fat bulges under the chin and jawline, thighs, abdomen, bra fat, back fat,
underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll) and upper arm.

Am I Too Old For CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting has helped our clients in their mid 80s and also those in their 20s. Regardless of age, CoolSculpting is effective. Depending on your age, you may want to pursue skin tightening as well.

CoolSculpting Or Liposuction?

CoolSculpting is non-invasive. Liposuction is surgical. Both procedures can dramatically improve your self-perception and confidence and both procedures are highly effective. The biggest difference we have found is that a huge percentage of people, although they hate their fat and want their body to change, are not willing to go under the knife or experience the potential side-effects that often come with liposuction. Downtime, bad outcomes, pain, and scarring are just a few of the things our CoolSculpting clients often say they’d rather avoid.
