Getting a dermal filler is a quick fix that will provide fullness to the areas of your face that are lacking volume or are showing fine lines and wrinkles. A dermal filler is injected underneath the skin to plump up and “fill” the area out. The most popular filler used is Hyaluronic Acid, a substance produced by our own bodies to help skin retain moisture. It works best to treat:
- areas around the corners of the mouth,
- wrinkles that start on the outside of the nose and stretch to the mouth
- loose skin
- thin lips
The results from dermal fillers can last up to 12 months.
Botox Injections For Reducing Wrinkles
Bad indoor lighting and poor flash photography can really highlight those lines between your eyebrows or those crows feet around your eyes. Botox is a great solution for wrinkles caused by muscle movement (like tensing your eyebrows together).
Botulinum toxin (Botox) works differently than dermal fillers because, when injected, it causes temporary paralysis in the muscles below the skin. This muscle paralysis smooths out the look of wrinkles. It is best used for:
- Horizontal wrinkles that form on the forehead
- Vertical lines between the eyebrows
- Crows feet around the outside of the eye
- Chin dimpling
- Horizontal neck bands
The results from Botox last around three to four months, but with repeated procedures the results begin to last longer with each treatment.
And P.S. if you suffer from Hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweat), Botox can help with that too. No one wants their underarm sweat immortalized in holiday pictures.
BroadBand Light Therapy For Your Youthful Glow
If you are camera shy due to redness and skin discoloration, BroadBand Light (BBL) therapy is a great option for you. It also helps plump up the skin as it encourages collagen production.
BBL therapy uses lasers to make your skin look radiant. The therapeutic-grade light energy gently warms the top layer of your skin and stimulates collagen production. After BBL, you skin will be smoother with a more even tone.
Both men and women with an array of skin issues can benefit from BBL! It’s used to treat:
- rosacea
- broken blood vessels
- sun damage
- unwanted freckles
Typically results will begin to appear 2-6 weeks after the procedure so you should plan ahead if you want to begin BroadBand Light Therapy. The best results are seen from repeat sessions.
Lip Augmentation For Perfect Lips
What’s better for a holiday photo than lovely, luscious lips painted Holiday Red. Most of us aren’t born with the famous pout of an Angelina Jolie or Scarlett Johansson. Which means that our thin lips can get even thinner as we age. But don’t despair! You can get a wonderful pout courtesy of lip fillers.
Fillers like Juvederm, are great for plumping out thinning lips, and after 24 hours your lips are ready for their photo shoots. Many people get their lips done while having Botox. It’s quick and relatively painless – and your lips are numbed up before the procedure. They will swell for the first 24 hours, so don’t make any plans that night. The fillers usually last for up to 9 months too.
