Take a look at someone’s face. What’s the first thing you notice? The nose is the central feature of the face and often the first thing we notice. It’s no surprise, then, that rhinoplasty is the second most common plastic surgery procedure performed in the US.
A nose job can become necessary for health reasons, such as after several broken noses or for a severely deviated septum. Other times, people opt for a nose job to enhance their natural beauty. Here are ten celebrities who have undergone a rhinoplasty and what they have to say about their experience.
1. Dianna Agron
She has gone under the knife two times after breaking her nose, once in high school and the other while on tour with Glee. She admits she didn’t tell her mom the first time because she thought she would get in trouble.
The second time she had to wait until the tour was over. When asked about her nose jobs, she said that she is thankful it’s fixed now.
2. Lisa Kudrow
She decided to get a nose job to change her appearance right before going into a new high school. She said that her nose job was life-altering. She also said that she went in hideous and came out feeling beautiful.
Going to a new high school can be terrifying, but she was able to boldly walk her new halls with confidence with her new nose.
3. Tyra Banks
This model opened about her surgery because she feels that she has a responsibility to do so. She opted for surgery because her growing bones made her nose itchy. She also said that it’s unfair that women who are natural beauties judge women who decide to get plastic surgery.
In an interview with People magazine, she said, “ If you like your natural self, don’t worry about it. But if you feel insecure about something … I have a magic bag of beauty tricks to make you who you want to be. Permanent or temporary, I do not judge that.”
4. Mickey Rourke
This former boxer had to have his face put together again after his boxing career. He had his nose broken twice and five surgeries to try to fix it. He even had cartilage taken from his ear to try to fix his nose. Finally, he found the right surgeon to truly fix his nose. Now, he says that he is pretty again.
5. Jillian Michaels
This fitness star underwent a nose job at the age of 16 after she got fed up with the constant bullying for the way she looked. In regard to her nose job, she said, “I’ll be honest. it did change my life” and that it made her feel more confident.
She doesn’t believe that your physical attractiveness should define who you are but there are things that can make people feel insecure. If changing that physical flaw will make them more confident, then she is all for it!
6. Courtney Love
This music star opted for a nose job at the age of 20 after losing a part in a movie to Julia Roberts. She claims she lost the part because of her “really big nose” and that her nose wasn’t taking her anywhere but radio.
She shared with the news media that within just 6 months after getting her nose fixed, her whole world changed. She has since gone on to be one of America’s most loved actresses and solo music artists. She has absolutely no regrets about her nose job.
7. Farrah Abraham
This Teen Mom star has gone under the knife a few times and is a huge fan of plastic surgery. She decided to have a nose job because she has hated her nose since she was 13. She also said that she didn’t feel insecure before the procedure, but she finally feels gorgeous after having it done.
Lately, she has even taken to gushing about her nose job on social media, writing, “Proud of you Doc. Thanks for my nose!”
8. Iggy Azalea
At first, she didn’t want to talk about her plastic surgery because she felt her fans would feel bad about their own bodies. But she said that honesty is the best policy, and she always wants to be transparent with her fans. Here’s what she said about her rhinoplasty, “I am not denying it; denying it is lame.” She admitted that plastic surgery is an emotional journey, and it’s no easy feat to change yourself.
During a visit to the Ellen Degeneres Show, she stated, “There was nothing wrong with me. I think it’s a personal choice and anybody, man or woman, they should be able to make an informed decision, and if you want to change something, then that’s up to you.”
9. Ashley Tisdale
She had trouble with her nose from the time she was a young girl because of a deviated septum that got worse as she got older. By the time she was 22, she underwent a rhinoplasty to correct her deviated septum and fractured bones.
10. Kaley Cuoco
This Big Bang Theory star isn’t afraid to talk about her plastic surgery. The 30-year-old actress revealed that she had a boob job and nose job years ago. She also said that it was the best thing she has ever done.
In a December issue of Women’s Health, she said, ”As much as you want to love your inner self … I’m sorry, you also want to look good. I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing”.
