Bad Plastic Surgery? Don’t Just Go With It!
Have you ever watched “Just Go With It” starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler? If not, go watch it after reading this – it’s very funny.
Sandler is a plastic surgeon with commitment issues, and the lovely Jennifer Aniston is his office manager and assistant. Many years earlier, Danny Maccabee (Sandler) had his heart broken on his wedding day. He decides to use his wedding ring to get dates without ever having his heart broken again.
But then he meets Palmer without his ring on. When she sees the ring, she wants no part of his supposed “marriage” break-up. Danny creates more lies about his “marriage” asking Katherine (Aniston) to play his wife so Palmer can meet her and see it’s all over. It all escalates, and suddenly they find themselves in Hawaii with Katherine’s kids pretending to be Danny’s, Katherine pretending to be the estranged wife, Danny’s cousin pretending to be an Austrian sheep farmer, and Palmer falling for all of it.
This is a light hearted, silly comedy. In true wacky Sandler fashion, he takes his laughs from the ridiculous and at the expense of people’s misfortunes. In this film, people’s misfortunes are their terrible plastic surgery procedures.
Those eyebrows live in a different zip code!
Not sure if it is Botox gone mad or a facelift that keeps on lifting, but we can all agree that we wouldn’t be searching out the services of any plastic surgeon who created that result! Steer clear of the surgeon who works out of a warehouse, chances are your after photos will be scarier than any film released during Halloween.
The man who had too much!
Unfortunately, this is something we have all seen at some point. The person who became addicted to Botox and fillers and didn’t know when to stop. Surely, they didn’t start out thinking they wanted to erase all expression from their face – whether good or bad? Did they take a picture of a mannequin into their consultation and say “Make me look like that”? There is a fine line between looking younger and fresher – yet still natural – and being so full of filler that you look puffy and shiny.
Trivia Fact: When Adam Sandler and family go across the bridge, the family that tells them that the bridge is only made for one person is Sandler's real life family. The two children are Adam Sandler's kids and the "wife" is Adam Sandler's sister-in-law.
