ABOUT MOLE AND LESION REMOVAL

For procedures that require suture, there would be discomfort for a few days and full recovery for lesion removal would be 2 weeks. Recovery can be sped up by following the aftercare directions.

- Would like an excision technique that will not leave severe scarring
PROCEDURE TECHNIQUE
There are certain factors that need to be considered during the procedure. Depth, size and location are taken into consideration to choose the appropriate removal technique. Minimally invasive lasers are used on lesions that are seated on the skin’s surface while lesions and moles that are deep-seated require excision, a minor surgical procedure.
Prior to the procedure, mole mapping is conducted to keep track of the changes of the existing moles and identify new ones. This helps us notice any abnormalities before they develop further.
