Candidates for a rhinoplasty can change the following features
- Wide or bulbous nasal tip
- Wide nasal bones
- Nasal hump
- Wide nostrils
- Low nasal bridge
- Drooping nasal tip
- Large nose over all
How long does a rhinoplasty take?
- Open rhioplasty will take about 2 hours
- Add half an hour if a septoplasty is added
- Add half an hour if a nostrol narrowing is added
- Add 1 hour if a cartilage graft from the ear is needed
The surgery is performed as either a Open or a Closed Rhinoplasty
How long to return to work after a nose job?
1 week – splint and sutures are removed in about 7-10 days
- Final results
1 year before all the swelling from the nasal tip is final but it is like a curve. Most will look pretty good in a month - No revision surgeries are performed before a year as the cartilage is still remolding
