The makeup industry is a central and constantly growing aspect of consumer culture. In 2022, the global cosmetic industry was valued at $380.2 billion. Yet, for all the time, effort, and money the average person spends on self-beautification, a myriad of factors are seemingly working against those endeavors. Hormones come and go, causing acne. Fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone arise with age. Even time spent outside can cause sun damage, undoing all the work invested into maintaining a youthful, blemish-free appearance.

However, the hyperpigmentation that results from sun damage, much like other imperfections, is not irreversible. Thanks to advanced aesthetic treatment – Forever Young BBL – patients can now achieve incredible results in repairing sun-damaged skin!

What is Forever Young BBL?

Forever Young BBL is a type of skin treatment used to rejuvenate skin by eliminating imperfections from aging, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and sun damage. At the end of treatment, patients benefit from softer skin texture and notice fewer blemishes and wrinkles. The therapy uses BroadBand Light (BBL), a powerful IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) laser for aesthetic operations.

How does Forever Young BBL work?

BroadBand Light enhances the body’s pre-existing ability to replace aging cells. Using a laser, BBL targets layers of the patient’s skin where the majority of visible aging originates. During the treatment, heat triggers skin cells in the treatment area to begin generating collagen – a protein vital to the health of your skin. This rejuvenation process evens skin tone and restores radiance to the patient’s complexion. The heat also reduces the appearance of fine blood vessels, which often contributes to facial redness, and melanin, which can cause discoloration.

Is Forever Young BBL safe?

Forever Young BBL is an attractive facial rejuvenation process partly because it is safe for almost all skin types! The wavelength used during the treatment can be changed based on the skin type of the person receiving the treatment. However, BBL is not recommended for those with very dark skin (type 6) or melasma, as it may result in unwanted color irregularities.

Are there any Forever Young BBL Side Effects?

The only long-term side effect of BBL is its resulting youthful facial appearance! Briefly after the treatment, the patient may experience some mild redness or peeling of hyperpigmented areas as the old skin sheds and is replaced by new and lighter skin.

Who is the ideal candidate for Forever Young BBL?

As mentioned earlier, BBL is not recommended for patients with either type 6 skin or melasma. Everyone else, however, is a potential candidate – the only exception being patients who have recently had a lot of sun exposure. The patients should wait until their skin is healed before treatment.

The treatment can be used preventatively before sun damage even occurs. However, it can also be used restoratively by older patients – those who are already experiencing uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, or redness.

What is Hyperpigmentation Sun Damage?

The process of sunlight damaging skin is also known as “photoaging.” UV radiation in the sun’s rays can artificially increase the rate at which skin ages – prematurely causing wrinkles, red patches, spider veins, and discoloration – also called hyperpigmentation. Sunscreen, wearing full-coverage clothing, and avoiding bright sunlight can all be used to prevent sun damage. However, since many of life’s daily activities require time spent outside, everyone will experience some level of sun damage during their lifetime. Forever BBL is the perfect solution for those who want to reverse its effects!

Does Forever Young BBL treat sun damage and hyperpigmentation?

Forever Young BBL does not directly reverse the process of sun damage itself. However, it reverses sun damage’s visible effects (such as hyperpigmentation) – by jump-starting the collage and elsatin regeneration process.

Does Forever Young BBL Treat Hyperpigmentation Sun-Damaged Skin on Face or Arms?

Yes! Unlike other laser treatments, Forever Young BBL can be used on almost any body part: face, arms, legs, neck, chest, and hands. Although the face’s thin skin may be particularly vulnerable to sun damage, hyperpigmentation can affect all different body areas.

What does The Forever Young BBL Before and After Look Like?

After Forever Young BBL, patients look years younger! The treatment addresses skin concerns from wrinkles to redness and skin discoloration.
